Ecstatic, exuberant shimmy-shaker extraordinaire, Kellita is Queen of Carnaval San Francisco 2008. Her Spanish grandmother routinely danced flamenco on tabletops while her Lebanese aunt entertained vaudeville audiences as The Chocolate Princess with her signature hula striptease dance. Kellita continues the tradition of interpreting world dance through a showgirl lens. When not directing and performing with her 9+ year-old award-winning dance troupe, Hot Pink Feathers, Kellita delights audiences with her captivating solo acts. Her accolades include the Little Miss Aftershock title from Miss Exotic World Contest 2002 for outstanding shimmy-shake and 2 Golden Pastie Awards from the New York Burlesque Festival: Best Derriere (2004) and Most Sensual (2009). Causing a big splash, she ended her first ever burlesque number by throwing off her bra, revealing swarovski-crystal encrusted starfish pasties and jumped in the pool that is the center of the outdoor performance space, giving new meaning to the word "breast stroke". In 2004, on the 1 year anniversary of performing, Penny Starr, Jr. became the First Runner-Up at Miss Exotic World. Lola van Ella is an international burlesque singer, dancer, producer, instructor and emcee. She is an often cheeky, but always sexy performer who is showcased all over St. Louis and beyond. In St. Louis, she perorms frequently and produces many shows, including The Bon-Bons Burlesque Revue; an authentic, live band, retro burlesque show, featuring her student troupe, The Bon-Bons. In 2008 Alive Magazine named her one St. Louis' most influential people. She has performed twice at Miss Exotic World and the Best of Midwest Burlesk, at The Vancouver, Chicago and London Burlesque Festivals and has taught and/or performed all over from Miami to Seattle, from New York to Amsterdam, and from Las Vegas to Berlin. Beth Stelling, Chicago, IL (Featured Performer)
“Chicago's mistress of all things deadpan(Chilarious),” Beth Stelling is the youngest comic listed on Comedy.com’s recent Top 20 Stand-up Comedians in Chicago article. She was placed at number 10 on the roster by the Los Angeles-based website. Chicago Underground Comedy co-producer, Elizabeth McQuern, has described Stelling as “Incredibly naturally funny person, with a marvelous stage presence that's both powerful and responsive. I've honestly never seen her not kill.” Just two years deep into her stand-up career, Stelling works regularly at Zanies (opening for Greg Proops and others) and all the top alternative comedy venues in town, including the Lakeshore Theater where she’s opened for Puppetry of the Penis, Michael McDonald, Jim Jeffries and Melinda Hill among others. She’s written for The Onion A.V. Club Chicago, performed in student films, has a theater degree from Miami University, and studies improv at the Annoyance Theater. Madame X is a critically acclaimed entertainer based in Chicago. She has been a headliner for 10 fabulous years at the Chicago Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club. Known for her dazzling costumes, she has graced numerous entertainment venues showcasing her live vocal stylings of past and present female icons with her own special twist. She is an artistic ensemble member of Mid-Tangent-Productions, a Chicago based theatre company, which recently featured her as the Evil Queen in their adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Drag Queens. A line of furniture named the Madame X/Y collection, designed by Douglas Levine for The Bright Chair Company, is a tribute to her enduring artistry.
